Find out whether a password appears in known data breaches. Your password never leaves this browser: only the first 5 characters of its SHA-1 hash are sent to the Have I Been Pwned range API (k-anonymity).
What the result means
A match means the exact password was exposed in at least one breach and is in attackers' word lists. Stop using it everywhere. No match is good news, but it does not prove a password is strong.
